Married and a mother of four children: one boy and three girls. Fortunate Kufakunesu is a qualified Pastor, Certified Life Coach, qualified and licensed Marriage and Family Counselor/Therapist, qualified Teacher, an award-winning Author who has written 4 books to date. Fortunate is a She-Talker and Country Director for She-Talks (Zimbabwe), G100 Country Director for Zero Hunger Division, Mental Health First Aider with AHPCZ and a First Aider with St John’s Ambulance. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Lily of Valleys Home of Hope, a legally registered not for profit organization that empowers adolescent girls and young women in vulnerable communities to live their purpose. Fortunate is also the founder and executive director of Life Issues Solutions Hub, an organization that assists girls and women globally to find themselves and live their potential.
Fortunate is a GirlChild and Woman advocate who strongly believes that God called her to be SOLUTION to girls and women’s challenges so that they live a fulfilling life. Through her service to this noble mission, Fortunate has achieved a national award with Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce, and Zimbabwe CEO Network. She is an International Gold Award Winner in the not-for-profit category for the Women Changing the World Awards (2024) and a Gold Award Winner in the gender empowerment category for the Women Changing the World Awards 2025. Fortunate recently got 2 awards on first position with Zimbabwe Phoenix Awards: Best Inspirational Author and Author of the Year.
Life is a gift from God and it is beautiful; but in all its beauty we cannot ignore the reality that pain has marinated this most beautiful gift called LIFE. Pain is concealed within our daily endeavours as we walk through each day, one event leading to the other and knowing or without knowing we are faced with issues and circumstances that need serious attention. These are Life Issues.
We all at one time came across issues that are heart-rending, emotionally draining and traumatic. Everyone alive has life issues to deal with. Merriam Webster defines life as the period from birth to death whilst the Collins dictionary defines it as the quality which people, animals, and plants have when they are not dead, and which objects and substances do not have but here we are going to talk about life as the flow of events and happenings taking place around us as we interact with what surrounds us in the society.
